ive been bleeding for over 7 months now, nonstop. at first its heavy then it lightens up and sometimes i pass clots. im 21 so my doctor wont take out my stuff. ill bleed for months and months, then it'll stop for a little while and start all over. the most ive ever bled was 4 months, so this one(the 7 months) is the longest its ever happened. my doctor has tried different birth controls and it worked for awhile, but now nothing is working. it started when i was 17, id have horrible cramps and back pain which id end up going to the hospital cause i didnt know what else to do. ive googled my symptoms and i just dont know what it could be. i cant take this anymore, somebody please help me!!!!!!

I'm not on fb. Is it too personal to ask here? I don't know if you can do direct messages on this site.

Sorry...I added spaces in between some of the words in your question and answer because they were turning into (unintentional) links.

Oy, no spaces after periods (that's almost a joke) or commas… my eyes!

I had a similar problem several years ago and became severely anemic. Fortunately, I was past childbearing age and ended up having an ablation which took care of the problem (no more periods). I doubt a doctor would recommend that for you but 7 months of bleeding is not normal. If your doctor can't get to the bottom of your problem then you need to see a different doctor. I'd insist that your doctor refer you to a specialist asap. In the mean time get a cbc and get treated for your anemia.

i had to have a dnc about 2 years ago cause he found cancer cells which he removed.buts thats really all hes done..since im constantly bleeding he cant do pap smears. I'm not sure if im anaemic but i dont doubt it either. I'm constantly tired no matter how much sleep i get helps.thats what i thought it was too,and i dont plan on having any kids.but i also have a spinal cord injury which affected my bladder and i have to cath.but i can walk thank god. It happened 16 years ago,but idk if that has anything to do with it either..im just a mess

It sure does sound like fibroids...these can be removed laproscopically. You will need to see an OB/GYN and I would suggest a new doctor also.

Omg you poor thing! Your doc is not very helpful. Hasn't he investigated this? Surely he has sent you for tests? I had heavy bleeding, clots, and pain as you describe. I was also anaemic, which you surely must be. (Is the doc treating that?) In my case, I was diagnosed with fibroids and because I had no intention of having children, I eventually agreed to a partial hysterectomy. I don't think this is a solution for you, but there are other treatments. It does seem to me though, that you need to change your doctor if you are going to have a satisfactory outcome. I wish you the best of luck.
