Are marrowfat peas considered paleo? Would love to not give up mushy peas!

If you sprout them before cooking them, sure. I am amazed how light and nutritious beans are, now that I soak them one or two days then let them sprout for a total of four days.Their skin will be broken and half will have a tail as long as the seed. Same for lentils, and I should try peas too sometime.

Peas are legumes, sorry.  Some people can handle legumes, but take careful care in how you cook them and keep in mind that they may still have lectins and will certainly carry a high carb load.
