Tummy Rumbles After Eating Pasta and Cheese

So, I'm not Paleo, yet. I just found out about it two days ago on a visit with my doctor.

In two days I've been reading everything I can get my hand on. I'm completely fascinated. I'm sure this is going to be something my wife and I explore.

She has PCOS, so this will be a little tricky. We need to be careful because this diet could make her PCOS worse and will need tweakin here and there.

Anyhow, I'm at my inlaws house and for dinner had a pasta cheesy casserole thing. I noticed my tummy rumbling and suddenly I'm gassy too.

Can some of you help me to understand what is going on in my stomach and digestive track?

I can tell it's what I ate! However, I need to understand why.

Dairy (cheese) & gluten (pasta) are both potential gut irritants. I'm guessing you are sensitive to one of both of these. The Paleo diet is about avoiding foods that irritate our bodies. Completely eliminate gluten & dairy for 4-6 weeks & then add them back in one at a time to see which it is. Search around this site & you will find a lot of info & some very helpful people will answer your questions. Be as detailed as possible with whatever it is you want to ask. Welcome to Paleohacks.

A Paleo diet will make PCOS immensely better. As a fellow "Cyster" I highly recommend your wife take a low carb approach to Paleo. It works!
