Palm oil vs coco nut oil

Can I use coco nut oil in place of palm oil in a recipe? I don't think palm oil is that healthy.

depends what palm oil you're talking about. Palm kernal oil is good for frying, but Red palm oil good for baking. They have different fat profiles and smoke points.

Nothing wrong with palm oil, certainly coconut is no better (I would prefer palm actually.)

Palm oil is mostly palmitate & oleate, whereas coconut oil is more enriched in medium chain fatty acids like laurate. Coconut oil is softer; this may or may not affect the recipe... I guess this will depend on what you're making.
