I've been searching for a solution for my digestive issues for years, where can you actually find one?

Vb, how did you get rid of yours? I am taking more probiotics than actual food these days.

Eugenia, ah i wish! I started drinking the kefir after you told me about it the first time i was on antibiotics. Ive had c diff twice more after that and have been faithfully drinking kefir everyday. C diff is just indestructable.

Joanna, CDiff can be helped eradicated with home-made goat kefir (along antibiotics if needed): http://www.minnesotamedicine.com/PastIssues/PastIssues2009/July2009/ClinicalBakkenJuly2009.aspx

Joanna, I no longer have C.diff. Even though I still have a long way to go, but I am much better and I recovered 75% of my gut flora.

How do you know that a fecal transplant is the answer? There are other ways to restore your gut flora, you know.

In the US, the FDa is moving to micro-manage the process. Similar story in Canada. The focus in both countries appears to be on using it as a last resort (due to anti-bio resistance) against C. Difficile. Therefore, you might need to do it yourself, as this lady did:

http://www.inanna.ca/catalog/gut-reaction-true-story-about-mothers-fight-save-her-sons-li/

Easy read. She apparently has another book out w/instructions, too, but I can't say more than that as I haven't read the second book, only the first.

A Canadian researcher/doc (iirc) has also published a guide:

http://crohnsend.com/documents/dr_silverman_home_transplants.pdf

It is very important, they say, to screen the donor properly. I.E.: First, do no harm. Make sure you have exhausted all other options including talking about it with your doc. Even if the doc won't do the procedure, he/she can certainly provide you with better advice than you will get elsewhere, including what you are now reading.

Try a very strong live probiotic, with as many strains as possible, taken orally and also inserted rectally, for 3-4 days. Worked quite well for me post-antibiotics.

Goat kefir rectally might work well too ;)

Borrow a friend's healthy, breastfed, vaginally-delivered baby for a few hours and administer one yourself?

What kind of problem do you have? Unless you can find a really progressive doctor, it will be difficult. Ive asked over ten doctors now to give me one and its always "no." Ive had c diff since january and on anibiotics three times. They still refuse and like having their patients suffer. Its quite sadistic but thats how most doctors are these days. I ended up doing 8 Ft at home but i got much worse. I dont recommend that route but i was desperate to try it.
