Zero Carb (meat only) cause mood swings?

Just curious... because when I first started paleo (like 5 months ago) I tried to do the meat only thing for like a week or so... ate a lot of peanut butter (ignorance). I had a ridiculous mood swing. I have just tried again (3 days into it) and I didn't have a serious mood swing.. but I hit my head on a cabinet and had a really sudden FREAK OUT. I punched the cabinet.. hurt my hand... then got so pissed I slammed the frying pan on the ground... putting a crazy dent into it. This all happened within like 2 seconds.. haha. All meat affect mood?

That's an easy way, bit adaptation doesnt require full ketosis, 16hr fasts are adequate to start the adaptation. Fasted training speeds it

To get into ketosis what exactly do you need to do? Just go zero carb?

I had the opposite experience. I've had a mood disorder (major depressive disorder or bipolar II, depending on who you ask) all my adult life, and probably before that, too. I've tried many therapies and drugs, without much relief. A very low carb diet helped somewhat, but not enough.

However, when I went meat only, within a couple of weeks my mood qualitatively changed for the better. I am now off all medication, and my mood is more stable and positive than it has ever been. This has, of course, affected every aspect of my life. If you've wondered why I can sometimes seems like a zealot about zero-carb, this is why. It gave me my life back, my marriage, everything.

Before I was "keto-adapted" I experienced this.

Before adaptation, your body isn't getting adequate fuel. Starvation is stressful.
