My absolute favorite is coconut oil- just started using that instead of olive oil and WOW- is my food amazing!!!

I use it for omelets, and just about everything.

What do you use most, and for what and why?

Any good recipes, please do post!

They have it at the local Big Box grocers in the small city (500,000 people) where I usually live, though I try not to shop at grocery stores. I've seen it at plenty of health food and delicatessen type shops... Here in rural Mexico where I'm living right now, we have to travel to the nearby city and visit the organic food store there to find it (coconut oil too). I'm surprised how hard it is to get decent non-animal oils around here!

Yeah I can't seem to eat liver much! One thing I haven't been able to do :-)

I use coconut oil for cooking everything too. It makes a great mix for chocolate sauce, adds some magic. I used to use alot of kerrygold butter, but since I have been cooking liver in it (the only way to make it edible), I can't stand it.

Coconut oil mostly, avocado oil for high heat cooking point, macadamia nut oil for making paleo mayo, olive oil or occasionally sesame oil for salad dressings.

I absolutely love avocado oil. It has an incredibly high smoke point at 520F or 271C so I use it for any hot frying and in the oven. I love coconut oil as well, but sometimes it's not ideal (like for making mayo - I don't like the taste of olive oil heavy mayo one bit).

I use coconut as a non-stick for eggs and most pans, but I still love the flavor that olive oil adds to sauteed vegetables or in a vinaigrette. These are my go to oils as they are the most readily available.

Favourite - macadamia nut oil is my favorite, though due to cost it is only every now and then so it's sadly not the one I use the most. Macadamia nut oil has a high smoke point and the taste is just glorious and they say it's 'healthy".

Otherwise I use coconut oil.
