What Paleo-approved foods raise your blood pressure?

I no longer have SIBO (yay!), but I still battling my fatigue and food sensitivities.

My food sensitivities could be attributed to my gastritis that is slowly healing.

My fatigue is very puzzling to me and it could be from different reasons. There are at least five that I know. I really want to rule out low blood pressure since I might have postprandial hypotension. I am not sure if I have it or not BUT I would love to test it.

Could you name Paleo foods that raise blood pressure?

Please do not mention coffee - I don't drink it and chocolate - I won't eat it (afraid of SIBO recurrence).

Anything else?

I eat red meat on a daily basis, not sure if it raises blood pressure.

Love,

VB

I am not a thyroid expert but the iodine discussion is not finished. At the moment I think that iodine supplementing is a good idea, but with some side notes. You have to make sure that you have a real good selenium status through supplementing. Kelp or seaweeds are not a good source because of the bromide and other toxins content. Lugol's solution is a clean way of supplementing iodine and iodide - but starting with lugols high dose should not be taken lightly. Blood values are not a good measure, see stop the thyroid madness. There is a good yahoo iodine group with lots of knowledge.

Congrats VB!! From what I gather it's something you've been struggling with for some time now, so this is great news!

My iodine intake is 0. My thyroid status is currently unknown, I will find out on Tuesday. What do I do if I have hypothyroid and is there a way to check it.

What is your iodine intake and thyroid status? On the SAD there are a lot of people with hypothyroid. With the paleo diet, your iodine intake can be even lower. hypothyroid can cause hypotension and fatigue.
