When implementing a Paleo diet, what are some little compromises that you make that go a long way?

That's a pretty blanket statement. Dairy used to be very harmful for my stomach until my gut health improved tremendously. It also can cause my skin to break out, though I haven't had much trouble since switching to only raw dairy. Truly, everyone is different.

Grass-fed, raw dairy. I generally have no problems (still try not to go overboard) and it makes me so happy! Same with white rice; I just couldn't get enough carbs (resulting in hair loss!) and as soon as I added white rice back in I felt a lot better and the hair loss stopped. It's all about what works for each person, and really believe in the paleo template mentality.

@balor123,

  • Dairy
  • Low-sodium (high-potassium) V8 juice (bodies need 2–4 mg of K for every Calorie consumed for optimal functioning)
  • Salami (the good stuff)

I eat potatoes and white rice (yay carbs.) I do dark chocolate a few times a week to satisfy my sweet tooth. I'm just starting to experiment with adding back grass-fed dairy and cheesemaking. I'm also beginning to play with the idea of a whole wheat sourdough. Lots of semi-non-paleo goodies.
