Weight Loss and Hair Loss

So I've been on Paleo since February 2012. I've lost about 65 lbs. lately my hair has started falling out in clumps.

I checked the Internet and it seems significant weight loss & change in diet may be a contributing factor.

It also suggests just to wait it out and my hair will eventually adjust & correct this anomaly. I also read upping my intake of B vitamins or biotin I think? Can help. When I looked up foods rich in biotin I realized I already eat a significant amount of these foods.

Anyone else have this problem and have any solutions?

Before I go to the doctor for poking, prodding and whatever PILLS they're pushing this month I'd like to explore other avenues.

Are you eating very low carb? Or taking supplemental iodine, or otherwise making any drastic change in your iodine intake (up or down)? Or doing anything else that might affect your thyroid? Hair loss can be a symptom of both hyper and hypothyroid.

Also lots of questions already here re: diet & hair loss.

Losing TONS of hair. I have lost 65lbs on Paleo since May. I just started taking Biotin and using a sulfate free shampoo. Hoping it works soon.

When I lost a lot of weight because of my eating disorder, I also started losing a bunch of hair which really freaked me out because I have really full, thick hair. I significantly increased my protein intake when I started gaining weight and my hair started to grow back. I also take B complex and use organic coconut shampoo/conditioner.
