I went on paleo based on my ObGyn (yup!) recommendation to see if it improved some health challenges. I started two weeks ago by cutting out wheat, dairy,legumes and cored fruit.... I feel better but to my frustration I have gained 2 1/2 lbs vs. losing the "claimed"10 lbs in first few weeks...agh! Why?

How do you look, feel, and perform? Your weight can fluctuate 5+ pounds in a single day due to a variety of reasons. Focus on how you feel and how your clothes fit. This isn't a quick fix "diet". This is about getting healthy. Looks will follow health.
I can easily tell you a way to lose 10 pounds in a week. Will it stick? Is it healthy? Is it sustainable? NO. Check back in 2 weeks and see how you look, feel, and perform.
Give your scale away to someone you don't like.
