Are we all just giving illegal medical advice? (paleo site under investigation)

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly ADA - American Dietetics Association) is lobbying for patents on nutrition coach and 6 months prison for those giving advice without 1200 hours under a registered dietician:

This is anti-free market and dirty. They are specifically targeting nurses, pharmacists, personal trainers, chiropractors, naturopaths, and homepaths! (All these groups are sometimes Paleo-friendly).

Is the AND(ADA) afraid the ancestral lifestyle will destroy their business, or are they already losing to many patients to Paleo-friendly health care professionals?

What is being done to fight this?

When are people going to go to prison for advising to eat corn and wheat exactly?? Probably the same time the Banksters go to jail for their frauds and long before anyone gets in trouble for 'Paleo'. lol

I think you should edit your link so that it takes you to the first page of the article. I read the link, and could not understand where you were getting this "6 months in prison" stuff, then noticed it was page 4 of 4....

There's gotta be a way around it, like handing out pamphlets with big disclaimers on them. I can see my future now "nutritional volunteer", I can sit in on appointments and give the opinion of someone completely unlicensed but pretty nerdy about such things.
