Wouldn't it be great to have that same plate model filled with beautiful paleo foods? I do not posses such skills, but I bet one of you does! Here's the supposedly improved Harvard version: http://www.health.harvard.edu/plate/healthy-eating-plate

Nice, I was thinking that we would all have slightly different plates in the paleo-sphere...

In using the word "plate" in place of "pyramid", I wonder if Agribusines/USDA is shifting marketing strategy towards younger audiences. We should all be very afraid for the future. Merk already introduced superfood muppets through Sesame Street, one of the main characters being a slice of whole grain bread.

Stephan Guyenet Posted this one a while ago. I like it, and I'm using it for a presentation I'm giving in my computer class today.

Here's what my plate typically looks like...

usda-food-plate...anyone-here-have-the-skills-to-make-a-paleo-plate?-or-know-of-anyone-who-has-already-done-one?

The key word is "my" given that I put coffee & cocoa (unsweetened of course) on there as a separate food group. Nevertheless, I put it up for a vote against the USDA version and the results were pretty clear (click here to take a look.)

Here's my effort. The simplicity of the content is intentional. The simplicity of the design is due to my lack of skill.
