Starting CrossFit and Paleo, don't want to gain weight

Hello everyone.

I've lost over 70 lbs in the last year. I did this with intermittent juice fasts. I'm breaking my last juice fast today.

I still have 10 lbs to go.

I'm starting CrossFit in two days and I'd like to switch to paleo.

I'm a short guy, 5' 7", and I really don't want to gain weight or get bulky with the CrossFit/paleo combination. I'd like the exact opposite, I'd like to lose weight.

I'd appreciate any recommendations as to what I should eat. I thought of keeping on with the juicing, but I've read that if you don't consume enough calories you won't lose weight, but at the same time if you consume too many calories you'll get bulky.

I'm really at a loss. The only thing I want is to lose more weight.

I was told to do so by a gym trainer/nutritionist but that's because my goal is fat loss! So yes read up...! :)

It does help. I'm certain I would balloon up if I ate that much. I have some reading to do.

Yep at the moment to speed up my metabolism i am eating 5 times a day most days! I eat a chicken breast for breakfast either in an omelette or in with veg, i have some form of meat 3/4 hours later with veg, again some meat 3/4 hours later with veg, 4th meal will be dinner so will be either meat with roasted veg and salad or meatballs in a tomato sauce or something similar and then i have 1 final mean later on which again will involve meat! It doesn't get boring coz i change it up a lot and have different meats daily too! I also have some fruit with each meals and generally eat 2/3 fruits a day

Hey yes i sure did...In a healthy way though as i use a fantastic gym trainer and followed my diet/exercise plan religiously!

weight loss to learn the differences and see which is best for you! The food plan you have there looks fine and a great start! Maybe keep sweet potato to a min but perfect otherwise! Sorry it's in 2 messages i ran over the limit of letters lol!! Is this any help?? Ryan

Not a problem! I lost the 40 pounds by eating religiously paleo and lots of exercise! I did a 30 day paleo reset/detox which was my big start and in my opinion the best way to start! I got a book called "eating paleo for dummies" that was a massive help! I was told by my gym trainer to focus on fat loss not weight loss as weight loss can be unhealthy and counter productive! So eat lots of protein to maintain muscle mass! I know you don't want muscle but just maintaining mass won't pack on muscle it is just healthier :) And to lose fat keep up with the training etc! Maybe study into fat loss vs

I have fat to lose around my arms, but the skin is so loose I believe there's no amount of exercise in the world that will tone that. I was thinking of the following menu = Breakfast after workout = Two egg whites with tomato and onion Juice with kale, cucumber, ginger, celery, apple and lemon =Lunch Chicken or fish or beef Half an avocado Juice with carrots, beet, cucumber, apple and lemon Dinner Juice with sweet potato and strawberries

Why do you care about the number a piece of metal and plastic tells you? Just eat what makes you feel good.

Personally i would get a good mix of everything.

I know where you are coming from as i have recently lost about 40lbs.

I found the best way to lose weight and keep losing weight was to drink water only, eat clean unprocessed meat, a little fruit and lots of veg!

Eventually when your body gets used to the exercise (plaeau) you may have to change your fitness regime a little in order to keep losing.

Do you have fat to lose? Around your belly, thights, arms etc??
