will eating paleo cure it??-don't know whether it's some type of bursitis or other RA. I was dx'ed with some kind of inflammatory arthritis-not osteo- in 2005 and took prednisone and plaquenil for many years-no meds and no further flares until last year-now it's both shoulders, and extends into muscles surrounding. last year I was well and fit enough to complete a full round of P90X at age 50. Now I feel like an 80 year old!! thanks, Teresa

+1 I agree with this 110% "your body has amazing capacity to heal and return to normal, if you give it the right raw materials"

Eating paleo is not magical. If it's injured already it won't magically make it heal, but it will reduce any internal inflammation, so it may help. I wouldn't hurt to try it out. You may find that you like it even if it doesn't help with your shoulder.

I don't have arthritis, but I did overstretch the back area of my shoulder about 3ish years ago, through dance, which caused some pretty bad pain for a year (I was pescatarian at the time).

Now, eating Paleo, even if the pain returns while breakdancing, it's short lived, and gone fairly quickly. My shoulder is now fairly strong. Even if it was time and not Paleo that healed it, I trust that eating real, high-quality wholesome food keeps injuries at bay.

So, more a preventative answer rather than any kind of quick-fixes. But prevention of injuries is very important to health, both physical and mental. I remember being stressed that I couldn't dance, and got very frustrated; stress, as usual, is no good.

You have to realize your body has amazing capacity to heal and return to normal, if you give it the right raw materials.

Sure as heck couldnt hurt to try it 30 days and find out.

My back pain was strongly reduced after switching to a Paleo-ish diet.
