Semen volume and paleo (adult question)

I have had a side effect ever since going paleo 9 months ago, and I've sort of ignored it because it's not exactly pleasant to dwell on it, but it does concern me. Not necessarily because of the thing itself, but because it might mean I'm not doing something right or I'm not actually healthy.

Ever since going seriously paleo (really more primal, as I eat feta cheese, butter, ghee, sour cream, etc.) I've noticed less ejaculate. I'm a 26 year old male, and up till paleo, I have always had gobbs of the stuff...even after 2 or 3 times in a day. Now, I'm lucky to produce a respectable amount the first time, and very little subsequent times.

As far as sexual fitness and libido, I did have some issues, but seemed to have fixed it by ceasing fish oil...I learned from this forum that too much fish oil can kill a young man's libido, and I read an explanation that it could have to do with estrogen suppression (go figure).

Anyway, I have experimented with carb re-feeds, thinking perhaps the fluid retention due to carbs might be a factor. I also use potassium and magnesium before bedtime, so I don't think it's a deficit of that.

So why when I go from pizza, fast food, and frozen processed crap to paleo, do I suddenly have less semen fluid volume?

Oh, and I've also experimented with using plenty of sunflower/pumpkin seeds. No difference.

I really doubt it's low t, as I have no other side effects of this and I perform fine. Also, I don't think it matters whether I'm "by myself" or with a partner. So therefore, I think it's something in my diet. Before paleo, I would also produce more with a partner, but still produced more by myself than I do now with a partner...if that makes sense..

I apologize for the rambling and explicit nature of this post...it's my first question since joining paleo hacks!

Well if you're heterosexual you're in luck. Unless you're spewing chocolate we really don't want "gobbs of the stuff" pretty much anywhere. Silver lining and all of that.

If you can't stop masturbating for a whole week, you're addicted. There's some shaky evidence that excessive masturbation, such as in your case, might negatively affect DHT levels and lead to early male pattern baldness or prostate issues.

You are way more copious than most men. I don't see why you are worried.

I don't think it has anything to do with ejaculation frequency in my case, because before I was paleo, I would be able to produce large volumes multiple times a day. No way I could go a whole week, dude. How would one do that?!

I'm guessing that more than a mouthful is probably a waste anyway?

Unless you are a professional porn star, is anyone really counting how much you ejaculate?

fruit may help - I had excessive hairloss after going full paleo (with hardly any carbs). Then I added more fruit and it reversed. I now make sure that each day I have some fruit. I did not feel that it 'undid' the benefits of paleo, but supplemented a deficiency. So a daily portion of fresh fruit does it for me. In addition, make sure to take enough zinc too. This really enhances semen production.

I would have expected more responses, but I have been experimenting with some re-feeding and I think I've stumbled across the beginnings of an answer. I think this is a byproduct of me being too low carb for too long. I will be doing a carb refeed/ cheat day once a week to see if this helps with this (and perhaps other things as well). I wish there were more "slow carb" foods that were generally accepted as paleo, such as refried beans. Very very low glycemic index but lots of carbs and energy. I suppose yams are the closest paleo option to that, but difficult to eat enough for the same effect.

Maybe you are cumming too much to see and therefore exhausting your ejaculate? I remember from reading my Dad's Playboy's that eating dairy should not only increase the volume of your ejaculate but also enhance the flavor. I'd think about any medications you may be taking and any fluctuations in weight. Maybe if you are weight burning some of the shits coming out of your ejaculate. I don't wanna say maybe its because you are starting to get older and your production goes down with age. I'm fucking old as hell and that doesn't seem to be the case because that's just anecdotal. Maybe sumthing is up with an inflamed colon or prostate because of excessive dairy and seed husks... I wouldn't worry all that much. Just try not cumming for a week and you'll be back to normal. I guarantee it.

polynesian_metal ~ I don't know what your talking about but I'm gay, hate cats, am a pagan atheist witch and I'm sterile. I don't eat grains, corn, beans or refined sugar... Uh, what is this group I'm posting in supposed to be all about?~
