Hi guys,

how much retinol from liver do i need to be getting to prevent acne from drinking raw milk?

According to Ray Peat and other members on here such as Cliff and Korion, high vitamin A can help acne sufferers...

But doesn't dairy contribute to the overall retinol consumption so how would this not help like liver in preventing acne from dairy itself?

thanks

About 3 ounces of liver a week. Too much liver can actually make things worse. Also, your thyroid needs to be working well. Low vitamin A is a frequent cause of acne but not the only one.

I most definitely notice a change in my skin texture after I started eating vegetables with vitamin A. I went with carrots, and it's been pretty easy. When I start turning too orange, it's time to back off.

I remember reading about plant based provitamin A and animal based. It seems like green tea helps the absorption of the plant base.
