Hi all, I am two months into my paleo pregnancy and feeling amazing! No nausea or food aversions, and great energy. When not pregnant, I am very regular after years of constipation- but need a super high dose probiotic to help with that. I also take in many fermented foods and drinks. Since pregnant, I started to experience pretty bad constipation as expected. Since I am rather forgetful, I have forgot my daily probiotic at night for a few days- I noticed I am back to no constipation! It started by accident, and then I continued to experiment with this. I feel great and don't have that stuffed, bloated feeling.
My question is this- clearly, the probiotic was backing me up a little bit and I feel better since stopping. Since I have many autoimmune conditions, I am nervous about stopping it because it is so helpful for immune health. Thoughts, ideas, or suggestions? Thanks!
