Yeah, very true, but it does point out that there's tons of interest in Paleo, which is a good thing for the health of everyone, and if anything it helps spread the word that there's a better way than eating crap in a box.

Can only see the first three parts on the web but even still I thought it was very good. Nell was especially polished. Now I've finally got something to point people to that are curious about Paleo.

Dr Oz is a gross snake oil salesman. Not that I have an opinion. :) BUT, I have to say that there is a large group of people who will now give paleo a second look since Dr Oz said so. [sigh]

I thought it was great!

Here's the link if anyone wants to see it: Paleo Diet Craze: Does It Work?

When I speak with patients, I can say, "just like on the Dr. Oz show!" :)

Answering my own question: I just watched and I must say it was well done and came off very positive. Talk of the benefits. Demonstrations of what paleo plates and meals look like. Featured two women that had weight loss and more importantly improved health issues.

I've never heard of the Paleoista book, but now I want it. ;)

I was pleasantly surprised at how civil and well produced the segment was, unlike the 3 ring circus they had waiting for Gary Taubes when he was on. I loved the look on his face when he was trying to process the no grains or legumes thing, I'm sure it was mostly for effect (I seriously doubt he went into the segment blind about the concept), but priceless nonetheless.

I thought it was awesome! They represented the Paleo Diet pretty good. Exciting they discussed it in enough detail along with 2 Paleo followers who healed themselves (With Thyroid problems & MS), And Loren Cordain even talked about healing leaky guts with Paleo Diet!) I thought Nell Stephenson (Paleoista) did a great job.

I was pleasantly surprised. Ms. Stephenson looked like she was in amazing shape and was well spoken and enthusiastic. The guests who claimed paleo style eating helped their health issues were inspiring. I wish Cordain would have been on longer and more time devoted to Ms. Stephenson's approach to tweaking the basics for athletes, as I really could have done without the cheesy father-daughter waste of time quiz between Oz and his daughter, Daphne. Ugh. Although the plan was referred to as high protein, it seemed that vegetables made up the bulk of the plan by volume and that fat would be the bulk of the plan calorically. I think Oz should have devoted the whole show to paleo but even a little positive coverage is better than none.
