I just want to add, so you know - there are many misconceptions about Paleo and people who follow Paleo do what works for them. So Paleo is a little different for everyone, depending on what works for you. But most grains are out. I have nothing against starches, so I eat beets, pumpkins, squash and sweet potatoes as my starch with every single meal. Also, make sure you eat a GREAT VARIETY of vegetables, not just lettuce and tomatoes. Look up nutritionally dense foods and go from there. Onions, cabbage family and green leafy are a must.

Lots of people who don't do dairy in general do fine with butter. And, those who don't do well with butter might do well with ghee (clarified butter that's had the milk solids rendered out of it.)

A "paleo diet" plus the consumption of diary is considered a "primal diet."

Grains, yes. Some people soak them Weston A Price style and eat them. Dairy is also on the fence. A lot of people don't do dairy, but the primal folks and some others dig it. Personally I do fermented dairy only, works great!

Yes. There is a bit more to it than just cutting out grains and milk though.

Avoid processsed foods as much as possible.
Eat meat, fish, eggs, fruit and veg (have I missed anything out?).

Try to eat the best quality foods you can afford.
