Hi guys, how are you? Well, since I came back to the gym, I started to eat a lot more carbs and I added to my diet some oats, brown rice, sweet potatos and white potatos. I started to feel a little bloated, primary from the oats. I readed a lot of post that says rice is not that bad, specialy long grain rice. White potatos and sweet potatos give something to talk but oats definitly are gonna be out of my diet. So, im looking for a replacement for my breakfast meal. I found some posts recomending to eat a meal of seeds and nuts but I turn to be alergic to them, so... what are a good replacement? I was thinking to use rice flour or buckwheat but I dont know if is a good idea. Any advice? Also, what other hi-carbs food should I include to my diet? Regards, Juan Manuel

I know, but i dont want to live all day from potatos and rice :P. Since I want to bulk lean, i cant eat too much fruit. I have a couple of bananas, apples and a bunch of grapes per day. But I guess its not bad to include potatos or rice. I just was looking variations :)

Yeah, i guess will go with the starchy vegetables. I have to include carbs in the breakfast. At least 50g. My macros are: 210 Prot. 300 Carbs. 50 Fats

Even in my vegetarian days I would sometime breakfast with lentil soup. Now I am fully on the salty/savory side, and rice, natto, eggs or sardines, sprouts and olives can not be beat. So nutritious. I will add a fruit at the end, but that's it.

i vote for non-traditional breakfast, but here are some variations on "oatmeal" that are nut-free that can be fun to make occasionally. My thought would be to use stevia istead of honey

What's wrong with rice and potatoes for breakfast if you want carbohydrate? Breakfast need not be "breakfast" food.

I would suggest rethinking your idea of breakfast. I used to love oatmeal and porridge -- but if it does settle well for you, don't replace it -- find a new breakfast.

As for carbs, fruits and starchy vegetables are good. I do not consume a carb heavy breakfast (when I consume a breakfast at all). But if you want to try a sweet potato or a banana or something of that sort. Left-overs from dinner are always good. Hard-boiled eggs, etc.
