Newbie question: What do SAD DT & CW mean?

Have come across references to both and they seem bad. Can't find anything on "the google" other than an interesting link to a motorcycle video.

I don't believe folks are referring to the disorder related to not enough sun. Consider this a request for meanings, oh great ones.

Any other additional shorthand terms for new paleo/primal folks that would be beneficial to know? Can't find an FAQ that addresses. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the answer. As a non-US resident, I wouldn't have worked out SAD!

No worries. Thx for the response. I'm still learning and I know it.

CW=Conventional Wisdom aka "saturated fat is bad for you, causes heart disease"

SAD= Standard American Diet aka "high carb, low fat, full of grain and CAFO meat"

And When I answered one of your previous questions with "I was going through the SAD DTs" it was a bit of an attempt at humor. SAD DTs aka withdrawal symptoms (delerium tremens that drug users go through when trying to get sober).

Sorry about that :)
