Im a 19 year old guy and have been on paleo for about 4 or 5 months, at first it was great but now im starting to get really tired by early afternoon, and its a daily thing now. Im not sure if im eating too much or too little, or if i should add more carbs to my diet. I excercise pretty much everyday, don't do much with weights, as i mostly just use bodyweight excercises and play sports. im 5'11 and about 150 lbs. Also, what would a good day's worth of meals look like?

There are lots of posts and people here with way more knowledge about supplements than me. You may also want to check out http://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/ to calculate the amount of food you need to be eating (I used it to calculate my intake for weight loss, but you can also find out how much you should be eating to maintain your current weight, if that's one of your goals.

I think im hydrating enough, but i havent started taking any kind of supplements yet. I do get carb cravings, so is that an indicator that one of those three minerals are low? In the case of supplements, i just get a little confused on exactly which ones i should be taking

Also -- a healthy and natural sleep cycle can actually include an afternoon nap. Do you have energy again later in the day? Or stay fatigued?

I read this a while ago, some of it might resonate with you: http://180degreehealth.com/2010/06/the-catecholamine-honeymoon Btw, what does 'eating paleo' mean for you? Do you thikn you're eating not enough or too much?

There is more to paleo than food. A simple question to someone who feels tired is -- how much do you sleep? and when? Your ancient paleo ancestor went to sleep soon after sunset and rose with the sun. The 19 year olds I have known (including me) stay up to 3 a.m. or sometimes all night.

All excellent responses. Two other ideas: 1. Are you hydrating and supplementing your minerals--especially sodium, magnesium, and potassium? Are you eating enough fat, and doing so throughout the day? When I don't (for either), I get carb cravings and sluggish.
