Lack of appetite after exercising.

So i'm currently 3weeks back in to SL5x5 after returning from an operation (for testicular cancer). I'm trying to put some weight back on which is going pretty well so far however i noticed i really just don't want to eat after my workouts for atleast a couple of hours. Thought of it even makes me feel a bit sick even though i'm a big eater and usually shovel through my meat and veg any hour of the day.

Even a protein shake (i understand this isnt paleo but oh well) can some times be a struggle to get down me pwo.

Any little tips to get my appetite going quicker after i workout would be great. Could this also be related to the operation in any shape or form as lack of appetite is quite unusual for me.

Thanks in advance

ps: Edited for more info

+1 Appetite is normally blunted post-workout, about 2 hours for me, then I devour food. However this may be related to your operation, as autophagy (self-repair) kicks up post-workout, and your body may be trying to repair itself.

Yea thats what i tend to do, just eat when im hungry. But i always used to be able to eat and eat whenever. I wasn't sure if it was down to my operation which i should've elaborated on, as it was for testicular cancer, but to be fair they didn't give you alot of info after you were done with it so i've been experiencing some side effects as they came along.

Good news, you don't have a problem. For maximum growth hormone potential, you're not supposed to eat for at least two hours after a workout. (The insulin spike would blunt the growth hormone release.) Keep up the good work!

I'm usually not hungry right after a workout either, but after an hour or two goes by, I become ravenous. Why don't you just wait it out and eat when you become naturally hungry? If you're trying to gain weight, you could even hold out for a while so you're more likely to eat more once your appetite returns. Just a thought!
