So I was planning on making some maki sushi rolls at home without rice. I bought some coconut aminos to sub for soy sauce. And now I am wondering: is wasabi paleo-friendly?

*This*, exactly. There's a >99% chance that you are eating green-dyed horseradish rather than wasabi.

Looove wasabi. Real wasabi is very expensive and most commercially available wasabi here has horseradish, mustard, and food coloring in it. Check the ingredients as starch is often added. Doing a quick search, I found that Eden makes a gluten free product.

Wasabi is a grated root, and it's paleo-friendly. It's related to horseradish, which is also a great condiment.
