Is there vitamin-c in raw eggs?

Is there vitamin C in raw eggs? My logic goes that if an egg contains all that is required to complete a living chicken, then maybe vit-c is one of those necessaries. On the other hand, vitamin-c might be important for regeneration rather than development.

I had a crazy day on vacation at a relatives house where I could'nt get to the organic store so all I ate was hard boiled eggs that I had brought with me. I think I ended up eating 15 or so. I was curious and punched it in to cron-o-meter and the only thing I was missing in any significance was vitamin C. I was impressed.

While the egg might have a little of each of those nutrients, it certainly doesn't make it complete for human diets. Just run Cronometer on eggs, they're missing a number of nutrients.

yes, we were made to ingest huge amounts of vitamin pills everyday. It's just a fluke that we survived at all before their introduction

You'd have to eat an insane number of eggs to meet many nutritional requirements. Lemons don't fill in the gaps that well either.

So... one could live on nothing but eggs and lemons if they were in dire financial straits? Would be an unhappy diet, but complete... wow.

You are correct. This is a great breakdown the egg, with the specifics for the white and yolk.

I believe I have read that vitamin C is the only nutrient we need that eggs don't have.
