its a hyper-potent probiotic called bio-k, here are the ingredients: Water Organic sprouted brown rice powder, Organic evaporated cane juice, Organic brown rice protein, Nutritional yeast, Organic carob bean gum, Calcium citrate, Natural falvours, Pectin, Active cultures of L. acidophilus + L. casei

14g carbs, 4g sugar, 75 calories, 4g protein.

Is it "too non-paleo" for what? Why are you taking it? How does it make you feel?

I don't think doing paleo is an end in itself, it's just an approach to take in order to unleash this suppressed potential we all have locked up in our genes.

Bottom line, if it's helping you get to where you need to be, keep taking it. If it's holding you back, drop it like a hot potato. You are, ultimately, the only one in charge of yourself. Something that can be both scary and liberating.

i wouldn't eat it, but if it doesn't bother you, then go ahead. i am pretty strict about paleo though and not consuming grains. there are so many better quality probiotics you could be using that don't have those nasty fillers.

I believe that your Bio-K probiotic is the most paleo-friendly one that Bio-K makes. I just started using Bio-K rice based probiotic myself and I think it will work wonders for me. Lots of good reviews on line. As far as the other comments you will get on here "No paleolithic humans ever consumed supplements" is probably true - but you are not likely going to eat enough offal to absorb the nutrients and minerals from it. Plus, our world isn't "dirty" enough to get our bacteria and probiotics from the dirt/foods. Period.

No supplements are paleo. Paleo humans never, ever consumed supplements. Everything they ate came direct from nature.
