If you had to eat one type of food...

If you could only eat one type of food for the rest of your life in addition to drinking water, what would it be? Why? Would you be deficient in many nutrients?

I want to hear what people think is a good staple of a paleo diet and why.

A staple of a good paleo diet does not mean it's adequate to live off of for the rest of one's life. There is no single best food, which seems to be what you're looking for. And just because something contains a lot of vitamins, you may be deficient in something because it may throw your ratios out of balance. We're meant to eat a varied and diverse diet, and nutrients often work synergistically.

I'd go for some wild red meat, anything that belongs in the deer family suits me just fine. I could live solely on those animals. They provide food, clothing, shelter and of course, nothing like the thrill of hunting and catching game.

Inuit are the closest we know of eating one thing, so I'd say walrus/seal/whale

Whole coconut. It's ideal as a sole-source nutritional product.
