If I stop eating/drinking sugar for 16 hours, I lose all taste for it. Does this rule out candida?

I've been experiencing several candida/IBS like symptoms for the past 9 months.

I've been doing n=1 tests over the last 2 weeks.

One thing I noticed is that if I stop eating sugar for more than 16 hours, I lose all taste for it. If I try drinking soda, it tastes awful. A little while after eating it, the taste comes back, but when I first have it tastes terrible.

I know sugar cravings are a symptom of candida, does this rule candida out for me? I'm wondering what I should start doing- paleo, ketogenic, PHD, etc. It depends on what I have exactly.

Thank you

Candida is such a BS diagnosis/disease/disorder. :)

Not sure 16 hours is long enough. How are you at the 3 day mark?

I would say proceed in whatever direction seems right to you. Probably Primal or PHD are the least restrictive. You can always reduce starch or drop dairy later if they are a problem for you.
