Hi there, I'm stacy. Are you all clinical dieticians? I am looking for some advice, paleo wise. I have been mostly Paleo for about a year. After having some skin issues with rashes showing up and small blisters under the skin, I finally had a blood test. My Vit D is at 18, very low. I got supplements for that from a Naturpathic Doctor. I also found that my triglycerides are at 34, which he also says is low. My white blood cell count was low, but it could be because of my rash at the time. My full body rash has gone away, but I still have skin issues with the itchy, dry, water blisters. The doctor suggested I need to eat more protein, I eat about 100 to 120 ish grams. I weight about 140 lbs, 5'3". I do CrossFit about 3 days a week and am a waitress..I am active. I haven't been able to lean out with Paleo and it may be because I am lacking Vit D which I have heard makes you gain weight, which I have about 10 lbs...even when doing Paleo and exercising. It may be easy for some folks to just eat whatever paleo wise like making sure you eat protein, veggies, and fat. I do exactly that. I hardly eat any fruit or sugar because I have been wanting to lean out. It is has been very discouraging that I am trying so hard with eating Paleo and am not getting any results. It could be cause I am not absorbing food and vitamins..the doctor said it was a strong possibility from my bloodwork. All in all, the doctor is not paleo but knows I eat it. He is not a dietician so i know he can't fully help me. he suggested beans and protein shakes..Please, help me!! I am very discouraged. If you need to talk on the phone, my number is 509-264-3002. my email is [email protected] i can fax my blood work. I have no paleo dieticians where I live. I am begging for your help! Thank you for your time. Hope to hear from you soon. Stacy Cenotto

Hi Stacy, for your own safety reasons it's not wise to post your full name, phone and email info on the internet. I would remove your phone number and last name.
Most of the people on this site are not dieticians, just regular folk who have taken a strong interest in Paleo and in learning the science behind it.
Why don't you edit your post to add what a typical day's diet looks like for you, which will make it easier to offer suggestions.
