I have to eat around 3200cal to maintain my weight, & more to bulk up. Why and if so, can daily calories be lowered?

i always have had to eat a lot to put on weight and maintain my weight.

is there a reason why i have to eat so much, what does it come down to?

if the reason is because of a high metabolism, could i 'slow' it down so i can have a lower calorie intake as at times, i really get sick of eat the same foods JUST to maintain or even put on weight.

it just gets pretty annoying and would like to know if lowering the metabolism was possible without any side effects?

I am the same way even when my metabolism is greatly lowered. In fact, I actually put on more weight when my metabolism is higher because I am able to eat and absorb more calories and nutrients. With a lower metabolism I'm never able to eat enough to maintain.

I am on the same boat. I need to eat like a horse just to maintain my weight, and it is very annoying to do so.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Could be hyper. Just a stab in the dark without more info though. Height/weight/bf etc?
