Hypothyroidism is a condition in which your body does not make enough

thyroid hormone to keep your body running normally.

Following are some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism:

1) Dry skin

2) Muscle weakness, aches, tenderness, and stiffness

3) Heavier than normal or irregular menstrual periods

4) Impaired memory

Common causes of hypothyroidism are inflammation of the thyroid gland,

autoimmune disease, surgical removal of the thyroid, and radiation treatment.

One of the most recommended tips for hypothyroidism in paleo is going for Gluten free food. Try going gluten-free for a few weeks.

Hypothyroidism treated by replacing the hormone that your body should be making, to bring your thyroid hormone levels back to normal. Levothyroxine sodium contains a hormone that is similar to what the thyroid gland makes itself.

There is yet another nutritional factor that may play a role in thyroid health: selenium

Several research studies have demonstrated the benefits of selenium supplementation in treating autoimmune thyroid conditions.
