Hello =) Thanks all for info =)

I am 183cm and 70kg.

I eat paleo. I got rid of white pasta, white rice and white bread - all were making me sluggish. Paleo makes me go with mroe energy.

  1. has any1 else had this happen to them after eating this ^ ?

  2. I believe I am an ectomorph.

I have een underweight all my life. Always 70kg and 183cm.

can't get more weight . I train stronglifts, I am getting stronger (being able to lift heavier and heavier weights at the gym)

but weight stays the same.

I read that less carbs = loose weight, more carbs = gain weight.

and my diet is paleo, that means a lot of protein, nuts (almonds and peanuts I like) , fruit and vegetables

so what is the problem? Too little carbs? I was eating even 2kg fruit a day (1kg bananas, a lot grapes... etc)

how do I gain weight?

What should I do?

Add soemthing to my diet? if so, what?

how do people gain weight with paleo diet??

Thanks all for info!! =)

Since you were already eating a lot of high-sugar fruits, you may simply be at your healthy build. Even on paleo some people tend to be a lot thinner than others. I'm 5'8" and 120lbs- underweight by BMI, but in excellent health.

seems I need to include potatoes etc to gain weight.

Basically carbs -> glucose -> insulin -> fat storage

So eat high-carb/high-calorie meals where the carbs will help you retain the calories. You could eat starchy vegetables (yams, squash), high glycemic index fruits (bananas, cherries, grapes), and nut butters.

You could for example make paleo pancakes or oatmeal:
