Hack My Red Eyes

Answered on August 19, 2014

I'm about 21 days into Primal eating and I noticed my eyes are always red now. It also started around the same time I think I went into Ketosis. Any idea why this is happening? Something with my thyroid?

In my culture they brew black tea, and wash your eyes with strained solution (it has to be very dark and lukewarm).

That's because you are on a VERY unhealthy diet. The way the diet has de-eveolved on those board is a pseudo Atkins diet that will kill you.

Do real Paleo- A lot fo fresh fruits+veggies and then lean meats.

I had red itchy eyes recently too. It turns out that in my case it was caused by iron anemia. My neck and especially my eyes would open up the capillaries trying to get oxygen to the area. I looked stoned and wanted to tear my eyes out.

allergens and irritants are the most likely cause. Given that it's pollen season throughout the US, that's certainly the first place I would look. It's a good idea to get checked out by a doctor, especially if there is pain, inflammation, or discharge of any kind.

Brew some Chamomile tea, cool down in the fridge and use as eye drops 3 times a day, it works for me. If symptoms persist, go to your MD.
