GOMAD Alternative for heavy lifting?

Hey everyone,

I started StrongLifts 5x5 last week. A year or two ago I did Starting Strength and loved the results after 6 months but I injured the labrum in my hip and had to pause for a year almost.

Now, I am starting again and in that time I have become paleo.

GOMAD isn't really an option anymore because I don't want to drink all that milk. I could search for Raw Milk but it is very expensive compared to "normal" milk.

I have read about ADEAD (A Dozen Eggs A Day) from, I think, Sisson or Wolf. This is a bit more managable. I can get 20 pasture raised eggs for $7 on Sundays from a Farmers Market in Montrose.

Still, what else can I do to pack on the good calories? On workout days I definitely eat sweet potatoes, bananas, raisins, and of course protein and fats - avocado, grass-fed butter, coconut oil, EVOO, various nuts, and then chicken/duck/beef/etc.

I feel like on non-workout days i eat much less though and that is where GOMAD helped so much before. Do I just hard boil the eggs and stuff them down?

GOMAD Alternatives??? Thanks guys!!!

I read about that along time ago, so when I decided to overeat in order to gain muscle, I only went about two weeks. I went up 15lbs, and then lost 8lbs. The scary part was when my jeans felt uncomfortable, but that went away and I seem to have more muscle.

Several days ago I stumbled into this and thought that I could put in my TO DO list of experiments to try... maybe you would like to give it a look and if you decide to try please post back your results over time.
