HELP! I am going to be so tempted to go for the homemade linguine! What can I order in an Italian restaurant that is as close to Paleo as possible?

Been a few posts like that. But it's one thing to go to Italy and not eat Italian food, but another thing to be paleo at a local Italian eatery.

Most good restaurants are very accommodating. You can get a simple piece of meat (steak, grilled/baked chicken, or even seafood) and ask for whatever vegetable they have instead of pasta. They might even have a good salad on the menu that you wouldn't have to tinker with much. Meat + veg = done. (No pasta, no breadsticks.) It's much simpler than you think.

I'm not gluten or dairy intolerant, so on the rare occasion that I go to a favorite restaurant, I just eat what I want, including pasta and pizza. I call it a treat meal. When I was more strict, I'd order a salad and a steak or other flesh. And drink plenty of red wine. Treat meals! Better to have them at favorite restaurants and stay sane than to give into a craving and make Kraft macaroni and cheese in the middle of the night. (Yes, I've done this....)

Steak, seafood, salad. Substitute pasta with veggies.

Some of the best seafood I've eaten was in Italian restaurants. Scungili or calamari in red sauce, eaten like stew. Bacalan. Cioppino. Whole grilled snapper. Oh my.

If it's fresh homemade linguine and you're not celiac, give in! Anything less isn't worth it.

You can search on the smart restaurant search by key word. Ex: Italian food restaurant. It allows for easily finding out all restaurants near your place or view details of a restaurant with telephone, location, photos, description and reviews from internet community about that restaurant. I found so many Chinese restaurants around where i live. They have a good variety of Italian food. Most of it is really good. they are sets at a great price for size

Before, to know the address of restaurants of a specific cuisine just 1or 2 miles from my place. I often ask people, but now I know a website that can help me, that is Restaau.co.uk. I can view details of a restaurant with telephone, location, photos, description and reviews from internet community about that restaurant. Now I can find my favorite fish restaurants.
