Going Paleo For Health Reasons....

I have been battling with severe Endometriosis for 2 years now and have been told to start a paleo diet. I have been trying to cut out everything that is not paleo but am not able to find many things to eat, in fact, I haven't been eating much at all because of this. Do you have any suggestions? Any good links to paleo recipes, some really good paleo cook books would be great! Also suggestions for breakfast and lunch foods would be awesome.

Breakfast and lunch:

SALADS! Always have hard boiled eggs, nuts, and cooked meat in tupperware on hadn. Get a thermos for travel eating. LaraBars are a lifesaver.

Expect to take a few months to "settle" into your new routine and don't beat yourself up in the meantime while you learn the new diet. :-)

Google "paleo omelette muffins" - fantastic for those days when I eat out of home. Google "paleo smoothies" - perfect for breakfast or after a busy day.

Take your favorite cookbook or Google and filter many paleo-friendly recipes. My favorites:

  • Meat Loaf
  • Meatballs
  • Oven-baked meat with vegetables
  • Stir-fried meat with cabbage
  • Fish baked in foil (or parchment paper)
  • Pureed or steamed vegetables as a side dish


Also, freezer is your friend. What I have in my freezer at the moment:

And this aggregation site has an awesome sort filter - you can sort by the flavors of Paleo, like Whole 9 for example, or by type of food (lamb, beef, veg, etc):
