Fast metabolism/Ectomorph/Low Carbing?

I'm a 5'7" 135 pound male ectomorph and i was wondering should a person with an ectomorphic bodytype(naturally skinny, burns calories very quickly, slender) like me do a low carb version of paleo? Would i get skinnier and look anorexic?I prefer eating green leafy veggies and animal protein over safe starches anyway. Except for the occasional yam every now and then (like once or twice a week). So what should i do? Let me hear your experiences with low carbing (30G or less a day).

I am not a fan of EVOO for cooking, as it oxidizes at a lower temperature, even below the smoke point.

I cook all my animal proteins in extra virgin coconut oil. I use organic butter for my yams and extra virgin olive oil for veggie salads, avocadoes and boiled eggs.

Oh yeah. I eat grass fed beef. I also eat cow and chicken organs. But i prefer fish and seafood. It tastes better to me and it's easier to digest. Fish meat is alot softer than cow and lamb meat.

Do you eat any red meats or fattier meats besides seafood? Might be a nice source of healthy calories. Also butter or coconut oil.

Yes. I mean too thin. I have thin bones. But they are strong. I have a typical hard gainer body. A thin and frail body structure and hard for me to put on muscle mass. You would not tell by looking at me in person, but i do have some definition, but it only shows when i flex.

Sometimes i eat high glycemic fruits such as mangoes, papayas and pineapples, but only if i'm low on glucose. I live in Miami(sub tropical).

I am fairly active. I bike and walk everywhere lol. I was skinny fat prior to eating paleo. For the most part i eat lots fish and seafood for protein and omega 3's. For my carbs i eat lots of green leafy veggies, sweet potatoes and yams, some cruciferous veggies and plantains(starchy banana). I also eat some some nuts and seeds once a week. I sometimes feel bloated from eating the starches, i've limited my intake and feel better.

Gio, how old are you? If you're under 21, as a male you're still growing. At that height and body weight someone who is still growing probably shouldn't do VLC (<30 gms C/day) unless other factors like epilepsy etc out weigh the growth issue.

By "anorexic" you mean "too thin," I assume. Anorexics come in all sizes and weights.

It is quite possible that you would feel horrible going in full ketosis, but the only way to tell is to experiment. My recommendation would be to eat a ton of fat and see what happens. Do butternut squash or even other types of squash for carbs, or add some berries and fruit.

What is your reasoning to want to go that low of carbs? What is your activity level? What do you currently eat?

There are some neurological conditions where it might be worth it for a very lean person to do low carb. And it may be of benefit for depression, especially manic depression. The best place to find out more on the advantages of LC for these reasons is http://evolutionarypsychiatry.blogspot.com/ Otherwise I don't see particular advantages for a lean person.

You could eat LC without dropping weight if you were able to keep your calorie intake high enough, but the satiation value of a LC diet can make it difficult to eat lots of calories.
