Eating everyday and meal times?

From what i have read and know, paleolithic people did not have the luxury to eat EVERYDAY. I know that this is where the Intermittent Fasting idea comes into play. Now onto meal times. I've watched documentaries about tribes and i noticed that they grazed(snacked) during the day on small foods such as nuts and roots and even insects. Then they would have one BIG meal......at night. Right before going to bed. I'm similar, not much of a breakfast person. I usually feel better and i'm more productive when i eat only 2 medium sized meals throughout the day. My first meal around 1PM and and second meal at around 8 or 9PM right before bed. What do you guys think about meal times and meal frequency? Do they matter?

Nice. Thanks for answering. From what I gather you're fairly active. You don't find root vegetables beneficial?

Yes. I prefer a big breakfast and then smaller lunch and yet smaller dinner. The big high protein high fat breakfast keeps me going much longer, keeps cravings down and mood even. I also sleep a lot better. Some people though just get nauseous if they try to eat early. Eating for your own body makes sense. It's hard to know how paleo era HG's would have eaten compared to modern HG's. They probably had better food availability since they weren't forced on to marginal lands.

Nice, thanks. So, it's very low carb, or do you ever eat starch/fruit?

I also like a few hours between my last meal and sleep.

I do the salad lunch a few times a week, sometimes do greek yogurt with cacao and almond butter in it, or a big omelette with broccoli, etc. dinners are pretty much always a pound of meat/fish with some kind of veggies

Lunch today, a leafy greens salad (variety changes often) with parmesan cheese, grape tomatoes, lime juice and can of tuna. Dinner tonight will be a 16oz New York steak, with spinach and asparagus.

Yeah. When i wake up in the morning i completely forget about breakfast. Maybe because my body is still absorbing the nutrients of the meal from the previous night. I prefer a small cup (3oz-4oz) of green tea or some nuts and seeds and i'm good to go. I like eating from 1PM to 9PM. I give myself an 8 hour feeding window. Works for me.Thanks for your input. Much appreciated.

I generally eat a medium sized meal around noon, and a much larger meal around 7pm. sometimes I eat three meals and sometimes I just do dinner. Depends on my activity, and how hungry I am.

Do what feels right for you.

If you feel good, look good and perform well, then no need to sweat anything. I'd try to get a few hours between my last meal and sleep, but thats a vanity thing.

I always have trouble falling asleep when I eat a huge meal before bed. But I agree with not eating a huge breakfast.
