Does anyone know what the warrior diet is?

Just heard of it but can't find anything to say what kind of foods are included. However I saw it mention "primal" instinct.

They typically under eat during the day and feast at night.

Thoughts?

Don't know too much. Ori the author is interesting to listen to, heard him interviewed a few times. Ex-military in Israel. Real cut up and lean guy still and he's not young anymore.

Eating light during the day and big at night. He really espouses nuts and seeds during the day. He is very into evolutionary biology generally, saying we are designed for nuts and seeds throughout the day and then big meat at night, like after the kill would have been.

He talks a lot about the sympathetic versus the para sympathetic nervous systems and how his way of eating stimulates them more appropriately then modern day eating.

I think he way is kind of Ori-paleo if you will. His food choices themselves aren't un-paleo if you will, just that he has his own way of doing it that seems to work pretty well for him.

Outstanding stuff and he really deserves a wider audience. His next book is coming out soon.

Ori Hofmekler is the proponent of the Warrior Diet, which is effectively IF, but on a daily basis with a 20 hour fast between feeding periods - it certainly sharpens the mind, and the appetite

I've done it on and off for several years. Whenever I gain 5 or 10 lbs and need to lean out fast, I always turn back to it. I just started it again about a week ago. It's a godsend; I love to eat until full, and this allows me to indulge, but not go crazy, every night.

I did it for about a year. The creator (can't remember his name) makes some good points in the book. The foods were probably more aligned with the Spartan Diet than Paleo. His concept of feasting at night was to eat a lot of protein and veggies at the beginning of the meal and carbs at the end. He also talked about boiling meats to help make them easier for human digestion.

He also wrote the Anti-Estrogenic Diet. That was a really good read.
