I've been reading up on the digestive cycles (appropriation, assimilation, elimination) and how it works and for what times it is best to eat.
For those that don't know the 3 cycles are:
1) Elimination (of body wastes and food debris) 4am-12pm
2) Appropriation (eating and digestion)12pm-8pm
3) Assimilation (absorption and use) 8pm-4am
However, with my schedule, I go to sleep early and wake up by 5am. I CrossFit at 6am and eat (I'm strict paleo) soon after. Been doing this for about a year and a half. Because of my early morning training, I usually need to eat protein/ some carbs during breakfast, which I've read I should try to eat only light things like fruit during the elimination cycle.
My questions is: Is my schedule disruptive to my digestive cycles or will my body adjust to correspond? If it is disruptive, what can I do - without changing my schedule - to fix this?
I ask because, although I'm feeling healthy and fine, my elimination cycle seems to swing daily and I want to make sure that my assimilation cycle is working to it's fullest. (also, if it is possible to change it to fit my schedule better, how do I do this?)
