Hej,

I found today a offer for brown millet. The claim it is the origin of the millet. So it could be in a sense paleo. Have you tried it? Iam not sure i saw one offers it fermented. Some sprout the brown millet. I think i wont buy it.

What they claim "Brown Millet is Beneficial for: bones joints ligaments tendons blood pressure skin hair nails teeth" http://nature-bite.com/h.brownmillet.asp

Isnt Millet used by some indegenous peoples? In smale scale farming and forest gardens?

While many may agree with this, it doesn't really answer "why". Lots of paleo people eat rice.

Millet is technically a seed and not a grain, but it's also a goitrogen, so, if you have any thyroid issues at all, I'd avoid it. Most goitrogens are minimized in cooking, but I believe that in millet, they don't break down. But I could be thinking of soy in that regard.
