Ideally free. I would like something to show my family. Thanks

In my modest experience the other root crops are even better. They will reward you with 40 grams a day of anti inflammatory, nutritious short chain fats.

It is a way of eating & life that brings you back to pre industrialized food, you really don't have to take them back to the cave for effect.

It's a good idea to peel your potatoes if you eat white potatoes. I eat around 25% carbs no problem!

Good sites!, not sure if the best way to introduce people to paleo is just to send them to sites though

Some great answers, I think I like the definitive guide the most.

I don't know if I should create a separate thread for another question I have now, but how do you describe paleo to people without sounding like a caveman nut?

I got into Paleo from NerdFitness' Steve Kamb and if you have any "nerdy" family members, his website is a pretty cool source with lots of people and resources. His paleo guide is here: http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2010/10/04/the-beginners-guide-to-the-paleo-diet/

The 3 people whose opinion I most respect:

Dr. Art Ayers, Denise Minger, and Peter.

I'm on my second reading of the book, but the website if free and filled with good info. Modified Paleo but I'm starting to gravitate towards adding back some more potatoes into my diet and not being so hardcore protein/fat.

The most straightforward guide I've seen is this one : http://solvingnutrition.com/definitive-guide-to-paleo/

It's not too too long, and pretty easy to understand what Paleo is about.
