Seriously, I feel like I'm the only one.

I'm in Charleston, WV and I would love a paleo community! If there's any chance of a meetup, I'm in!

It's about a 3-hour drive. I work a decent bit in Morgantown. Maybe I should be asking about paleo dining options in that town as my hotels never have kitchens.

No idea how close Charleston is to Morgantown, but if you searched you could have found this: http://paleohacks.com/questions/42131/paleo-primal-in-morgantown-wv

You can't be the only one in Wild Wonderful West Virginia.

Hey all! I made a facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/170761719776908/. Too cheap to pay Meetup's monthly fee, but maybe we could use this to organize a get-together if people are interested.

Another good place to shop is The Wild Ramp in Huntington, all the meat and produce sold there is locally raised. All the farmers markets are pretty good too (Cabell county in Huntington, Putnam County in Hurricane, Capitol Market in Charleston, etc). I've just started eating paleo and would be very interested in a meet up.

I've lurked here for a well over a year now without feeling the need to register, but I finally had to sign up just for this question.

I'm in Charleston, and while I don't know of any kind of paleo meetup groups or anything, I have met plenty of people doing the paleo thing on their own.

You might have luck meeting up with paleo people at the Crossfit boxes in Dunbar or St. Albans.

There's also (surprisingly) a paleo-oriented doctor here in town and another in Huntington, according to the Paleo Physicians Network:

Where do you do your paleo shopping? Resources are pretty scarce around here, but I do manage to get grassfed beef and lamb (especially offal) from Johnnie's Meat Market. Drug Emporium/Healthy Life Market has decent prices on Kerrygold butter, if you're into that. I find that they're also a pretty good resource for things like coconut oil and raw/organic nuts. Aside from that, I usually find myself shopping as judiciously as possible at Kroger between trips to Trader Joe's in Lexington.

Anyway, if you do happen to find (or start) a meetup group or club or anything, let me know!

I'm moving to Huntington soon and I'm disappointed in the total lack of paleo anything/anyone so far. I'm thinking about starting a facebook group - interested?
