Seems like a pretty good deal for $67 considering all the books and what not that are included. Thoughts?

Geek alert- I'm reading the transcripts on my ipad. Is that Paleo?

If you want to get up to date, it's a bargain. Just the Jaminet talk alone had tons of solid science in nugget quantities, each one a good topic to blog about. I don't mind paying those folks for their work. It's cheaper than a nutritional cert. course and much better info!

The transcripts are what interest me. I'm a poor auditory learner...to say the least.

And the summit's running from February 26-March 4, 2012. I think I'll pick it up, since I have the spare $67. Yes, a lot of the info is out there, but I think that's wise to support events like this if you want to see more like it. These things aren't cheap or easy to run.

Ya know, I did paleo for two years without paying anybody a dime. I bought Sisson's and Wolf's books mostly as a thank you for the value I got from their websites. Jaminet's book, however, is unique in the amount of valuable information that it contains. It's about the only "paleo" thing I can think of that's worth spending your money on.

Note that it is $67 while the summit is going on. Afterwards, the price will be $99. As an aside, I think it is a good deal, but oy, that whole marketing spiel...

The AHS presentation videos are free online. A couple of them would be duplicates. I would be surprised if there is any breakthrough science that isn't already on various websites.

Wow! They are gonna tell me what to eat? Puh-lease. I think I'll figure out what works best for me. You could do the same.

But if you have $67 burning a hole in your pocket, go ahead. I would be interested in watching Kruse and Stone just for pure entertainment value.

edit:

I guess I am just a cheap bastard.

I'm doing it. It seems well worth it and I can smash the stuff I disagree with!

The organizers and media team did a great job.

I think I might, a couple of the presentations that have already com down I'd like to share with my mom & my husband. I was half considering buying the Whole30 success guide on it's own, and that's bundled in the price. Still seems like a lot if half the presenters have coherence problems though... And the audio on some is pretty clipped. On the fence.

I would if I could afford it. I'm listening to all the presentations during the free listening period, which I really appreciate, but I'm spending $70 on a blood lipid panel Medicare probably won't cover and I think that's a wiser investment for me in me.

The information I've most benefited from is mostly also available in other places such as Chris Kresser's and Chris Masterjohn's blogs. The common sense stuff is powerful at first listening, but why would I really need to go through it again if it's already implanted in my thoughts?

Again, if money were no object I'd buy it and consider it a fun bargain.

The problem with paywalls is that with stuff like this, I like to share videos/info with my friends directly through links. And even if I would be willing to pay for it, they would not. So unless I'm allowed to share the video/transcript/slide links directly, which I doubt, it makes the whole package relatively useless to me. And I agree that the audio in general is kinda bad.
