Parents of paleo kids. Has this ever happened to you?

So I brought home some gluten free pasta for some friends with picky kids who are spending the weekend at our house and my 13 month old stole the bag out of our pantry and tried to feed it to our pet rats. HAHAHAHAHA I realized that he's never seen anyone in our house eat from a bag except our rats and occasionally the cat. He has seen bread before too but doesn't really know it's "food."

Anyone have similar stories about their paleo kids? I'm so amused.

There are worse things than oatmeal. :-) I occasionally make some soaked or sprouted buckwheat with lots of pasture butter for my husband. He's Russian... they're all raised on it.

Oh how I envy you. I came downstairs to find that the wife made oatmeal and both kids were both eating, and asked for 2nds... *facepalm*

My cats come to attention when I open a can because the only time they hear that sound the canned stuff is for them. Same with noisy paper bags.

No, my kids haven't done anything like this, but I'm pretty sure it's something that my son would get unto if we had pets!

My friend was raised eating only natural / whole foods. He went to a birthday party when he was about 5 and picked up a huge piece of cake. Everyone looked expectantly, thinkink he would betray his mother's beliefes and dig in, but he smashed it all in the walls instead :P
