Ever since I started my palaeo diet almost a month ago, I've missed my favourite staple food: sausage. Yesterday, however, I espied a brand at Whole Foods that I hadn't seen before called Taverrite's. Its cover was, to say the least, encouraging, declaring in bold letters that it was gluten free, raised without antibiotics, and without added MSG or nitrites. Still skeptical, I flipped the packet over to examine its ingredients. To my surprise, I was greeted with this brief list:
"Pork, Water, Vinegar, Organic Spices, Organic Paprika, in a natural casing"
So, have I finally found a sausage that I can enjoy guilt-free?

I get organic, gluten free sausage and don't do it often. It's enough for me to sleep at night...

I love chicken apple sausage and eat it a lot with over-easy eggs. Niman Ranch has several good flavors if you run across them.
