Yea that is true. As far as I can tell I don't seem to experience any acute reactions from eating grain-fed(possibly GMO grain) animals.

I am not looking to get anything out of this-- just wondering if people are fully paleo -- or if majority is partially. Just a curitosity thing --nothing scientific or anything.

Grain fed animals are fed GMOs. The need for worry cannot be understated.

Nobody you have met or ever will meet (barring certain time-travel possibilities) is 100% paleo, nor should any of us aspire to be so.

diary is not paleo in this case, right?

Then, over the week i`m perhaps 70% paleo. In any case no grains, no processed food, no sugar, 80% organic food, sat fat and MUFA + Omega 3 in moderation,as I want to loose weight and no vegatable oils.

Weekend: perhaps 30% Paleo on average.

Not the best, but I??m working on it!

Maybe 70% of daily intake (oatmeal for breakfast, wine occasionally, dark chocolate, cheese, etc), although I'm not sure how far away that is from a normal diet.

I think the paleo web is interesting, but it is not something I really aspire to. Just that it leads to some interesting recipes that you don't tend to see in the mainstream side of things.

dairy: yogurt, sour cream, butter, cheese legumes: lentils, black beans grains: minimal corn, some white rice misc: chocolate, raw honey

produce from the farmers' market, organic sausage, responsibly-caught low-on-the-foodchain seafood, coconut, pastured eggs... spices.

I'd say I'm about 60% paleo. I feel better than ever before, though. For me, it's all about eating starches in moderation (and with plenty of wholesome animal fats!) =j

Also, my body loves dairy, so I eat it up.

Good question KL!

Hubby and I are 80% paleo. We are strict during the week and on the weekends we let loose with friends. I say our biggest "cheat" would be alcohol. During the week we have the occasional glass of red wine, and sometimes use goats cheese in our meals.

And if we can help it, we NEVER eat grains though - too much bloating, pain, and discomfort.

99% Optimal Health as far as I know science wise.

I avoid the big 3, Grains, Veg Oil and Fructose all the time excepting rare social situations (1%). I do not crave any of these 3 and grains and oils are actually anti-appealing. Fructose I allow in small natural doses as found in whole foods only.

Important forany of you to consider, if you're not eating grassfed/wild, you're compromising a little there...

My Paleo stuff : Grass fed meat, pastured egg yolks, wild caught fish, veggies, roots, sweet potatoes, fruit, coconut milk and coconut flakes. I would say 80 - 90 & Paleo. My non paleo stuff: espresso, a bit of dark chocolate, red wine, grappa, sometimes a bit of sugar, raw fermented dairy like yoghurt or cheese. No nightshades, no egg whites. Never ever the antinutritient starvation food: grains, soy, legumes.

Probably somewhere in between 80-95% as it probably is for most people here. But who knows what exactly? Some say paleo means food X in moderation, and avoiding Y and Z. Others say X is fine without reference to amount. Or food X is fine depending on the quality or the amount of preparation/processing was involved.

This reminds me, the problem I'm wondering lately with the paleo label is that it technically refers to a restricted inclusion set of dietaty guidelines applying to a long time ago we-don't-quite-have-all-the-facts-in-about-the-included-foods-and-amounts-and-their-effects. But maybe it would be more accurate to use a label that refers to a restricted exclusion set of dietary guidelines applying to the most recent and most problematic substances and preparatory methods introduced into the human diet, things which we have a lot more information about.

if that makes any sense. . .

I eat like 95% paleo.

Sometimes I will have some dark chocolate, coffee, green tea. I don't always eat grass fed, but in my opinion the need for grass fed should be the last thing to worry about.

Getting gluten, soy and food additives out of the diet is what really matters the most because they are the origin most diseases and suffering today.

Eating paleo saturated fat also helps of course since it's the most important thing to eat.

The only 100% paleo I know is Lex Rooker who eats 100% raw grass fed meat he has shipped in from Slankers in Texas. He has a grinder and a commercial device that tells him what the mix is between fat and protein..about 75% fat 25% protein currently. He also renders his own fat once a month...somewhere around 100 pounds at a time.

He has kept a journal of his n=1 experiment since June 2008. All 130 pages in the forum. http://www.rawpaleoforum.com/journals/lex%27s-journal/

His lipid values are great as well as his dexa bone scan. He doesn't advocate his way is best. He only describes what he is doing.

we are probably 90-95% straight up paleo (whole9 3.0 30 day challenge was the guidelines we were using). Tomorrow will be 6 weeks. Went cold turkey off SAD and have had VERY VERY few cheats. Ive lost 22 lbs and hubby is down 15 lbs. After day 30 we added Ghee and heavy cream,... and I have been having 2 or so Crio Beans a day (http://www.criobru.com/products/8-oz.-Crio-Beans.html) don't know if they are 100% legal, but damn they are yummy!

All in all a wonderfully successful first 6 weeks for us!

I have 2-3 glasses of wine a week, but my diet otherwise is probably 95%. The other 5% comes from eating out (vegetable oils used to cook food) and an occassional gluten free dessert (once a month).
