I love doing crossfit and am doing a strength plan given to me by the gym I go to to compliment it, but I am struggling to eat enough and I am finding that I am getting incredibly thin all over?! I am an ecto/mesomorph so when I eat right even though I have long long bones I still put on quite a lot of muscle but my nutrition is what leaves me feeling energy lagged and often hungry and I can get incredibly skinny quickly and can burn out regularly. I have an extremely active job to therefore need to be constantly feeding. So I guess my question is how to eat 5,000 calories a day on the paleo diet and make it high enough in carbohydrates to sustain my activity? I know about sweet potatoes and yams, and they have made a difference but there is still a lot missing. I also work shifts (early or late) so it means I have to able to prepare and eat alot of cold food!
All ideas welcome!
