Desperate need to get fit

I desperately need to get fit, i am not happy with how i look and how i feel. I started eating paleo three days ago and my body is definitely feeling the detox. I am 21, am 5 ft 4 in, and currently weigh 129. One year ago i was 110 and id like to get back to that weight, or at least lose some fat and gain more muscle. its not so much about the number on the scale, but how good i feel about myself. any specific pointers for me as far as what to or what not to eat paleo as i try to reach my goal? thanks!

I am 5'8 and 125ish pounds. Everyone on here says to do HIIT but to throw in another perspective, I stay the smallest when I do 30-60 minute runs a day. HIIT training does not do nearly as much for me. It seems to work great for others though so it is worth a try. I think that as long as you choose something and stick with it, you will see results so I suggest doing whatever you think you will enjoy most.

Eat mostly meat and some dark leafy greens. Stay away from the starchy potatoes (all types), sweet squashes like butternut, and fruits. You can eat them once you are out of weight loss mode.
